Asar 15 celebrated as National Paddy Day


Nepalese farmers in Nepal celebrated Asar 15 (June 30) as the National Paddy Day by planting the paddy seedling in their fileds on Tuesday. The day holds the special significance in Nepalese culture as it is celebrated as the festival throughtout the country. Agriculture is the main occupation in Nepal and the country produces rice worth around Rs 900 million yearly.
