Data packages in NT mobile


It was in August 2015 that the data packages were first brought in Nepal Telecom GSM prepaid service. Previously the data packs were only available for CDMA data service. Ever since NT has added some more data packages to its prepaid services and the same availed for GSM postpaid too. The below data packs are same for GPRS and 3G in GSM and the same whether for CDMA 2G or EVDO (3G) in CDMA.

Here is the summary of all the data packages available in NT GSM and CDMA services.

1. GSM Postpaid service: 
 Combo monthly rental of Rs 900 for 2 GB data and Rs 500 calling.

Subscription method: Send a text Data 200MB to 1400 for subscription of 200 MB data and send a text cb to 1400 for the remaining data volume.

Subscription method: Send a text Data50MB to 1415 for subscription of 50 MB data and send a text vl to 1415 for the remaining data volume.

Difference between GSM prepaid and postpaid are that the 10 GB data volume is not available in postpaid and for subscription, there is a space between data and the volume for text to subscribe in GSM postpaid service, others include the number to text (1400, 1415) and the keyword (cb, vl).

Subscription method: Same as that of GSM prepaid .
The pay per go data charge is Rs 1 per MB for GSM and 50 paisa per MB in CDMA without any data packs. Similarly the data packs in CDMA is quite cheaper than GSM. For example in 10 GB data volume pack, you save Rs 1000 with CDMA compared to GSM which is quite a lot saving.
