A 20-member final Nepal squad for Philippines Clash. No Anil Gurung


Nepal National Team coaching staffs selected 20 players out of 27 players at the ANFA Complex on Friday.

Karna Limbu has made to the final cut while Anil Gurung has been axed from the national team squad.

The 20 member final squad comprised of 3 Goalkeepers, 7 Defenders, 6 Midfielders and 4 Forwards was selected from the 27 members shortlist announced a week ago.

Devendra Tamang and Suman Lama are dropped due to injuries while Alan Neupane, Anil Gurung, Rajendra Rawal, Man Bahadur Tamang and Bimal Basnet couldn't make their place in national team.

Nepal will take on Philippines in  its first away match of AFC Asian Cup 2019 qualification, which will be played on March 28 in Manila.

Nepal are grouped with Tajikistan, Philippines and Yemen in group F.

Final squad:

Goalkeepers: Bikesh Kuthu, Kiran Chemjong, Bishal Shrestha

Defenders: Rabin Shrestha, Biraj Maharjan, Ananta Tamang, Aditya Chaudhary, Kamal Shrestha, Ranjit Dhimal, Jitendra Karki,

Midfielders: Rohit Chand, Bishal Rai, Heman Gurung, Bikram Lama, Anjan Bista, Sujal Shrestha

Forwards: Bimal Gharti Magar, Bharat Khawas, Ranjan Bista, Karna Limbu
