‘The Voice’ Is Coming To Nepal!


A grand news for all the music enthusiasts has been out lately. Sources have found that the international singing reality show known as ‘The Voice’ is now coming to Nepal.

This is the second international franchise which is coming to Nepal, first being Nepal Idol which was a massive success.

The team members of The Voice include director Laxman Paudyal, who had resigned from his position days after the finale of the first season of Nepal Idol was held, and now will be directing The Voice. Another member is Firoj Timalsina, one of the reality producers of Nepal Idol in its first season. Wait thats not it, even Sushil Nepal – the host – too, is leaving Nepal Idol show in order to host the first season of The Voice. So, this is going to be epic.

Originally created by Dutch television producerJohn de Mol, The Voice first started in Netherlands where the show was titled “THE VOICE OF HOLLAND”. The show was later adapted in around 129 regions across the world. Nepali team went to Netherlands to sign the contract.


The auditions are likely to be held around March/April whereas the broadcast will start around July/August.

Nepal is getting to see better platforms in music industry through international shows like The Voice and Nepal Idol. This is just the beginning, we might get to see more and more.
