Popular comedian Sitaram Kattel ‘Dhurmus’ who has announced to construct an international cricket stadium in the country says he will name it Lord Buddha International Cricket Stadium.
Though the stadium will be named a cricket stadium, it will be multipurpose and one can organise volleyball, taekwondo, badminton, table tennis, swimming and other sports competitions, according to him.
“Likewise, we will include other outdoor activities too. If the ground is spacious enough, there will be a football ground too,” he announced amidst a function today.
Dhurmus Suntali Foundation, the organisation Dhurmus and his wife Kunjana Ghimire ‘Suntali’ have established, however, is yet to select a location for the project.
The team had recently visited Pokhara, but received suggestions that constructing the stadium there would not be appropriate owing to frequently changing weather conditions.
